Ran into some minor issues when compiling for Mac OS X 10.3 and 10.2
Easy to fix, but attaching some patches so that you don't have to...

Not sure about the first one with the UNUSED, so I just commented it out.
Perhaps it can be made conditional for Darwin or some kludge like that ?
