OpenMP support

I'm very interested in using D for writing numerical code.  But there 
seems to be a lack of support for OpenMP.  I would have imagined that 
supporting OpenMP in some form would be a priority since D is intended 
for numerical programmers (http://www.digitalmars.com/d/overview.html).

The only discussion of OpenMP support 
(http://www.digitalmars.com/d/archives/digitalmars/D/OpenMP_54502.html) 
that I found is mostly inconclusive, but suggests that the most likely 
candidate for supporting OpenMP would be GDC.  I haven't been able to 
find any further discussion of this issue.

Is support of OpenMP likely to be implemented in GDC in the near future?
