Making a Debian package for GDC

So, I finally managed to get GDC (git gdc-4.7 branch) to build
correctly. I'd like to make an uploadable .deb of it... what are the
steps?

I looked over debian/rules* and debian/README.maintainers, and I still
can't figure out exactly what must be done to setup the package. Is
there any documentation anywhere on how the whole thing is supposed to
work? (I mean the GCC-specific parts of it; I already know how to make
.deb's in general.)

Thanks!
