<pre>verror and friends declared in mars.h all trigger this warning - which is
treated as an error - due to use of things like vasprintf being used in the
definitions.
I've listed this as OS X because it's all i've tested it on, but it's not an OS
X specific warning so I'm surprised it's not happening elsewhere.</pre>
