In addition, the snap package can be installed on Linux distros 
that support it <https://snapcraft.io/docs/core/install> using:

     sudo snap install --classic --channel=1.3/beta ldc2

or, if you already have a version installed:

     sudo snap refresh --channel=1.3/beta ldc2
