Thanks to some spam issues, you'll get redirected to 
#d-unregistered. This will simply require you to register with 
nickserv with a command like the following:

/msg nickserv register <email> <password>

On reconnect to the server:

/msg nickserv identify <password>

When nickserv recognises you, you'll be able to join #d as normal.
