Also it's too early to talk about such switch because symbol elimination
mechanism from dmd pull #2550 [1] have never worked correctly as it fails to
detect symbol instantiating module (see (already fixed) Issue 11069 and Issue
11114) and thus can't be included in releases at least until known regressions
are fixed.
