There's some questions.

1. This is reported as a regression issue, so which version had been worked
well?
2. The attached code contains a unittest block, and main function tests command
line arguments or stdin. With the No.1 question, I'm not sure which part would
*fail*. Please tell me the full steps to reproduce issue.
