Thanks for your reply . No Joy there though. Same result . I am on Unix so changed command line as so 

[tytower at linuxbox texteditor]$ dmd TextEditor.d Images.d -J/home/tytower/Desktop/Tango/dwt-samples/dwtexamples/texteditor
