VisualD and new "visual studio code"

As a non-windows user, I've never been able to try VisualD.

Not knowing basically anything about the internal interactions 
between VisualD and Visual Studios... would a version of VisualD 
on Visual Studio Code be a possibility?

Visual Studio Code is free and cross platform.  I'm not sure if 
it's missing any big features that VisualD uses in Visual Studios 
though.  So far I've only seen a few news stories about it and 
the quick video on their site.

I just wanted to throw this out there for consideration.  In my 
opinion, it'd be great if the official IDE (at least VisualD 
seems official to me?) was available cross platform.
