Plans for the merge-2.071 branch

Given that LDC 1.0.0 will go with the 2.070.2 front end, I am assuming
that a switch to the 2.071 front end will be LDC 1.1. Whilst it is
right and proper to focus more on getting 1.0.0 out of the door in a
good state, might it be wise to set expectations now about timing and
numbering of keeping up with DMD frontend versions?
Clearly there are two conflicting tensions here:
1. Once 1.0.0 is out of the door, it will define D for years, and act
as an anchor against change.
2. There is always a bleeding edge group who will demand LDC is always
up to date with DMD front end (people like me :-)
Balancing these is always hard, but worth doing. Setting expectations
as part of the 1.0.0 release cycle strikes me as a good idea.
PS I can confirm that the 2.071 branch is working fine for me.
