I think you're describing urllib (http://www.opend.org/urllib.zip). I don't think
he's done anything with urllib in quite a while (since before DMD 0.88). I made an
attempt to update it to work with DMD 0.88. I uploaded my update to d_lab:

(free membership required to download the file), but I've lost interest in making
further updates.
