That might be, but education is probably more to blame than IQ, and
selection doesn't stop at the individual level.

Individuals that lack sense get pruned by nature.  But societies that
lack compassion and respect for human life, are destroyed or turned
into bonzai varieties by a much larger gardening process.  If a house
that is divided will fall, what happens when a society divides itself?

I can think of a lot of dumb things I've done that almost got *me*
pruned, so I say if you can print a warning about charcoal burners
in the paper, do it.  It might saves lives, and these days printed
newspapers are in need of good reasons to justify their own survival.
