If D becomes a failure, what's the key reason, do you think?

I support that!

(Except protection and module logic simply have to be fixed in 1.0.
And I don't want the const issue touched before 1.1.)

Actually, now is a good time of the year to do this. Come fall, everyone 
will be buzzing about D 1.0!
