(x4) Is D appropriate for creating a stable production app?

Wow! I just finished replying to Burton (who made the most recent reply to my
post), when I found the rest of these replies. The responsiveness of this
newsgroup alone ensures that I'll have a great time using D, whether we choose
to implement D in this application or I have to go find another project to use
D for =). Thank you all for your replies, and more specifically

   Jarret, thank you for giving a thorough overview of D's strengths and
weaknesses in each of the four areas that I mentioned. It sounds like D's
performance will be just fine, that it's more mature components can be used to
create a stable app, and (best of all, perhaps) that D is easy to code and
maintain.

   Bill, thank you for sharing your experiences with D and giving a concise
overview of the few problems one might encounter when using this language.
I'll have to get back to you about your last question - we may be using D for
24/7 server apps, and will certainly be doing testing in that direction.

   Hasan, thank you for pointing out that many of the staples of coding are
built-in with D, and reminding me that if we choose this route we can let the
garbage collector take a significant load off of our shoulders.
