I'm interested.  Was actually talking about this very thing with a friend a couple days 
back.  I'd personally like to see support for NNTP, HTTP, and even SMTP/POP (that's right) 
  all at once from one forum server, with some concept of user accounts so I can "take my 
settings with me".  Definitely opens the community doors wiiiiiiide.
