Sure, but please do file a bug (http://bugs.gentoo.org/) to remind me :)

Also, I maintain an overlay for D-related ebuilds, updates usually go there for
testing before they reach the actualy portage tree. If you don't mind cutting-edge
ebuilds - http://overlays.gentoo.org/dev/anant is for you! The overlay currently
has support for building DMD with the Tango standard library instead of phobos.
