Point well taken.  It's kind of like saying that "All web forums are 
just broken implementations of NNTP", which isn't entirely untrue.  I've 
seen very well designed forums that are basically online newsreaders. 
Then again I've also seen forums that looked like Myspace threw up all 
over the screen: 80% signature banners*, 15% "F1rst p0$t", 5% actual 
content.
