"notice" is a strange word, the sound of the 'i' is not hardened by the 'e' in the
normal way. Instead, the 'e' is present to soften the 'c' making int "notis" rather
than "notik". Basically its all c's fault, you'll be surprised just how much one can
blame on 'c'!!!
