In fact it's not a typo, it's intentional but the effect is bad: when I 
started with "In C++ lingo" I was referring to the meaning of "virtual". 
  I rewrote the sentence.

Thanks for the feedback, and if anybody has comments about anything 
referring to the book, please let me know.
