My poit is that most people (might even have been all bedfor that job) thought 
more in terms of 10-40 years.

If you are questioning the reliability of the numbers, keep in mind the guy 
who ran out that timeline did the same thing for multi-million dollar projects 
as his day job. If he got that kind of numbers wrong, it could cost millions 
in real money.
