Use of first person in a book

I use first person when I make side notes like

- "I've chosen to do it this way, because ..."

- "I will deviate from my decision of not using any feature that is not yet explained ..."

- "Because of a bug in Phobos, I had to use the .dup property with the format strings in the following samples. I will remove the .dups when that bug gets fixed."*
