what does it take to build DMD on linux?

I'm working on a slighy more elaorate system. Easy to add tests (without 
access to DMD or Phobos reps) the ability to run new test on old vertions 
(WhenTF did that break?!) better than 1hr resolution and whatever else I 
can think of.
