I think writing a D compiler from scratch in a "D-tonic" way is in the
best interest of the community, much more so than hacking on a C++(!)
compiler or a 1to1 translation of it (DDMD).

As D gets more popular we'll hopefully shrink the dependency on
existing C++ codebases (where practicle).
