You imply that D community is not organized and without "higher"
interest? ;)

Right, but at least there would be one or two which are stable and fully
maintained. I do not see the current status of GUI bindings being
advantageous.

I humbly believe that at the moment, when D community cannot even have
one fully supported GUI bindings project, it's illusion to think about
full-fledged GUI lib. 

One day? Sure, since library in D should bring D's advanced features
into it.
