The goal was to be able to wrap any input range with the buffered range 
having a reusable buffer while keeping the ability to just slice with 
no copy or allocation if you happen to have the whole file in immutable 
memory. I never completed the adaptation of the parser as I went to 
work on other projects, but I still think it's doable.
