Ruby on Rails still updates older version. Rails 3.2.8 is the current 
stable release. But since the first release of Rails 3 the Rails 2.3 
branch has received new updates and releases. Ruby on Rails, actually 
most of the Ruby projects, use a sane versioning scheme that makes it 
easier to handle code breakage.
