Ah, unhappily Groovy CSP also can't do this: "Some
implementations (e.g. GoLang) can also detach the thread from the
CSP process when blocked on a channel." Source:
http://www.gpars.org/1.0.0/guide/guide/GroovyCSP.html So it's
basically non-blocking IO.
