[Poll] On Linux, what should we commonly use as sub-directory name for D?

I'm not sure a poll is the appropriate way to decide this, to be honest.  The 
decision should be based on something very simple -- is there anything else out 
there that is using 'd' as subdirectory name?

If there's no precedent of some other project using 'd', why not stake the claim?
