It would be great if the build framework for these were in Git or
Mercurial repositories so that others could chip in.

DMD gets an rpm as well as a deb, but they are standalone, it would be
good to have all the D stuff packaged. Jordi has the D-Apt repository
but this needs to be a stepping stone to getting all of them into Debian
Unstable.

Likewise we should get all D things rpm packaged into RPM Fusion. If
there is ready made technology just needed people to get involved, the
effort is less and so more likely to happen. Can bioinformatics be
persuaded to get his infrastructure somewhere where others can
contribute?
