Not sure why, I have J9 right here on my laptop. And anyone can get an 
evaluation version from IBM.

As for gcj, lets bury it. It is dead since 2009.

For those that care about native code compilers for Java, there is 
RoboVM, Aonix, Excelsior JET, Aicas and a few other ones.
