You could also just bundle a stylesheet with it, which would be 
the best of both worlds. Have the semantic tags in the main 
macros and the style as an embedded <style> section in the DDOC 
macro header.

The generated HTML would work just as well for what it does now, 
and be available for things much better at the same time.
