I feel the need to clarify: I really don't mean all of the 
proposed changes are bad for this reason, but one of the ones I 
would find most value in (implicit "break;"s) is inappropriate.

I do like the suggestions in spirit.

** I'm also surprised "default" is necessary. I thought it was 
only necessary in final switches.
