C++ developer choices in open source projects

i'm doing programming for living for almost two decades. i did alot of
C and C++ developement. and i still can't properly understand and use
C++ templates. they sux. it worth nothing that i have some expirience
in FP and concept of generics and metaprogramming is nothing new for
me. and i catched D templates almost without troubles.
