I completely agree. What's really annoying is that betas are under 
"pre-releases". Personally I would dump everything directly under 
http://downloads.dlang.org like the DigitalMars FTP. It's way easier for 
tooling, like DVM. If one goes to http://downloads.dlang.org I would 
expect them to know what they're looking for so navigation is not really 
needed. The main download page is http://dlang.org/download.html.
