Ok, my last dump of statistics:

This one clearly shows that people are learning Go (covers
searches for "golang array" etc), while the interest in Java
tutorials is falling:

https://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=golang%2C%20%22java%20tutorial%22&date=1%2F2011%2061m&cmpt=q&tz=Etc%2FGMT-1

This one clearly shows a noticable drop for "c++", with peaks at
march and october, probably because of higher education student
projects or something similar. But the oscillation seems to have
the same magnitude, so maybe higher education still teach it at
the same rate?

The following search shows that "d programming language" has
fallen significantly over the past 5 years, while "dlang" has
been stable over the past 2 years or so. Not sure why, maybe
reduced attention from potential new users, but stable interest
from already invested users. Seems to fit with Github data.

Seems reasonable?
