I'll write the tool with the goal of porting SWT. If any processing is 
required that is specific for the SWT code that will require a specific 
command line option to enable.

It should work for any Java code that is limited to the parts of Java 
that SWT uses. For example, no Java 8 features will be supported, unless 
SWT starts to use them. The SWT code is quite conservative, I would 
expect the biggest issue would be the standard library. Example, SWT 
uses raw arrays instead of something like ArrayList.
