D on the Weekends

Am I reading it correctly that D is the second most popular 
general purpose language (let's exclude GLSL form general purpose 
programming)?? And that the volume of weekday commits, at least 
in GitHub, is dominated by niche and legacy languages, plus 
Matlab?
