I did this book:

It uses tables, images, and multiple fonts, all with Ddoc. It's not perfect, and 
the Kindle encoding has limitations, but I was able to get it remarkably close 
to the way the original book looked.

Of course, your specific requirements may preclude this, but Ddoc is very capable.
