I agree.

One can also argue, that for those who are intent on practisiing 
'etiquette', those who are not practicing 'etiquette', become 
(initially) an irritant (to those intent on practicing 
'etiquette').

Eventually, this cultivates into a 'hatred' (of those not 
practicing 'etiquette').

So, 'etiquette' actually leads to an uncivilised society.

The 'victorian era' of Emily Post, was stife with 'etiquette', 
and is why Freud had so many patients.
