Hi,

I think there is a lot to be said for using Gradle / and Maven 
repository as the package management tool. Why reinvent something 
that already works.

Gradle is a task dependency management tool at its core - it 
doesn't care what these tasks are, and you can write plugins to 
create any tasks you want. I have seen Gradle used successfully 
for C++ projects.
