dmd host compiler

What dmd I need to compile recent dmd from source ? I'm getting 
all kinds of errors. Versions pre 2.081 worked fine with my 
2.073. I'm trying 2.085 and 2.087 but no success.

dmd/sapply.d(30): Deprecation: Using super as a type is
