Though I feel like a PR is higher pressure than an emailed proof 
of concept. I personally am unlikely to finish the dmd process - 
the test suite is really annoying to me and the dmd code style 
clashes with my own - I just wanna prove that there's potential 
in this approach. I estimate it to be a ~6 hour job to finish the 
feature, so it isn't trivial, but it is definitely doable.
