Dlang IDE: Emacs, VS Code, or something else?

It's certainly nice, but it's unfortunate that, in my 
experiences, one needs to regularly reload Code's window as the 
plugin will stop working, e.g. auto-completion dies and discovery 
falls off a cliff. I'm not sure if that's because of the external 
tools, VS Code, or the extension itself. (This might just be, 
however.)
