Why do you continue to use D?

I might sound naive but I picked D for speed and then when I 
learned more about the language a really liked pragmatic the "get 
things done" approach which this language streamlines. It's not 
ceremonious and self-important as Scala which I use at work or 
too high level and slow as Python. It's just there, take it and 
use it after a couple of weeks reading the first few chapters. 
Mild learning curve with C++ like performance and no bullshit. A 
rare combination.

Also, I like the community.
