I think it's something that people are generally concerned about, 
but it's not surprising.

D is not really that popular or known. Most of the time when I 
talk to developers and mention D the response is "what's that?".

D might benefit from a product-oriented person on the team who 
actually has a say in how to go about things, and where 
prioritizations happen.
