I think it's a great idea. In particular because Github doesn't 
make it easy to discover D projects. For example the page on 
https://github.com/topics/d doesn't have the ability to sort by 
create date. Plus it might show up projects that are completely 
empty. And of course people might be using a different DVCS host 
altogether.
