Why is D unpopular?

Rust and Go seeming to be getting more and more users. I think it's due to large ecosystem and the big corporations with deep pockets that pushes them. But I'd like to know you all opinions

It's because the leaders of D do not want it to be popular. D's 
popularity is manifest of their attitude about it. They don't 
care any more. It's just their golf game, simple as that.
