Group game dev project

If you just want to make and actually finish a game try 
participating in a game jam (solo or group, whatever fits you 
best) - imo this is the best way to get a basic game done, though 
of course it's smaller in scope.

I don't think joining with randoms without a shared vision is 
gonna bear fruit, though you might have luck and might find some 
here who are motivated and bring in ideas for the same game idea 
you have.
