Civility is not a one-way street. Stonewalling and ridiculing
critics certainly doesn't help.
Over the last couple of years, there's been a culture in this
forum that when things get "too hot" (who decides that?), people
are told off or threads are closed down (under some pretext or
other). I am under the impression that critics are called out for
less than those who rush to D's defense. The "stay on topic"
thing is a bit wishy-washy too. How far off topic can one go?
Often topics are intertwined with other topics, so what's on and
off topic is often open to interpretation, just like "be more
specific", "be professional".
Anyway, the fact that Andrei finally admitted that D was in a
cul-de-sac shows you that reality will come back to bite you
sooner or later, no matter how often you try to reframe it and
shut it down.
